5 Easy Things YOU Can Do To Support Small Creators

To be honest with you, this post is really out there for all the creators out there that haven’t been discovered yet. I’m mostly talking about bloggers, but it also applies to small authors, YouTubers, and any other creator you can think of–plus, I think it’s amazing when creative people support other creative people.

Let’s jump right into it: how you can help support other creators who might not be making it big at the moment.

1. Like their stuff

I mean, it must be a good thing if YouTubers keep telling you to do this, right? It’s just a super simple thing you can do to say “hey, I see what you are doing, and I appreciate it.” It does make a difference and it barely takes any time or effort at all.

2. Leave a comment

This one takes a little more effort, but comments can do so much for creators like me who are small and unnoticed. I’ve had some super nice comments that made me want to scream into a pillow or burst into a wide grin because of the sheer happiness it gave me. If you are willing to take the time to write a nice comment, I honestly do appreciate it and I will be incredibly grateful for you.

But please be nice, too. We are soft and sensitive people, and rude comments are not cool. If you have constructive criticism, by all means, go for it. But anything rude or vulgar or downright unnecessary… that’s an absolute no-no, okay.

3. Share their content

I’ve only had this happen to me maybe once, but I do remember how excited I was to have someone share my content. Sharing means more people are exposed to my work. Sharing means I get to speak to more people in the hopes to help them, inspire them, encourage them. Small actions do so much more for us than you might think.

4. Use affiliate links

If the creator has affiliate links (I don’t at the moment), buy stuff using those links. It’s something simple to help them earn a few cents and pay their rent, ahaha. Also on that note, if they have merch and you really want something, treat yourself! But then again, if you’re broke then I totally get that too XD

5. Subscribe

Is this basic? Absolutely. BUT IT TAKES COMMITMENT OKAY. COMMITMENT. If you’re not willing to invest in subscribing to their email list / YouTube channel then maybe just follow them on social media *shrugs*

Once know you want updates / notifications on their content on a constant basis, or want the extra stuff they have to offer, what’s stopping you from actually subscribing?

That’s all for now!

I hope this was helpful if you want to help some small creators, or simply want to go through the small and easy things people might do to support you. And if you have anything else to add to this list, leave it in the comments below so we can all benefit from it!

Go make your mark,
